Just because people participate in tournaments doesn't make them any better than people who make predictions regarding said tournaments, therefore everyone should get the keys they deserve via the XTH.

If you vote, you get points based on how well you voted. Not all of us hit the random button just for the chance at one free key; some of us do go into observation mode and think hard about our predictions. Fair's fair, and everyone should get their points; don't delete the XTH, it gives us something to look forward to while waiting for Guild Wars 2.

And also, not everyone who gets Zaishen keys sells them. I used all mine to get to rank 3 so I could get the statue; after that, I stopped because I never got anything good from the chest anyway, so now they get sold. And as for the Nightfall treasure comment, those things reset once a month if you're lucky and you get maybe 500 gold and a lousy purple out of them. That's hardly balanced with the PVPers getting all the Zaishen keys.

I am pretty sure that's exactly what the game needs now.
Less options to keep us interested!

Why take away an in-game value-added future that enables players to be more actively involved and interested in the high-end PvP aspect of the game?
There are quite a few players that cannot / do not take part in high-end PvP. This gives them something back too.
High-end PvP players still get more rewards, which I believe is justified too.

We aren't. In fact the only people complaining are very few of the bad whoru's? There really were only two or three top PvPers in here who compete in the tournies and all of them said this was a terrible idea.

So it isn't the PvPers who want this gone. It is mainly PvE farmers who don't like people getting rich for making predictions when they have to bore themselves for hours to make their money.

^^^ Why don't the farmers just get the points then instead of boring themselves to death grinding?

I like the idea but lately with all the problems, the LAG!!!!, etc... I say do away with it. Z-keys are a PvP reward that can be used for PvE items. I PvE mainly, and I still say do away with it. It is totally useless. Plus if people want those keys make them earn them and learn how to PvP, who knows they may actually like to PvP more often

ANet shouldn't "make" people do anything. If someone doesn't want to PVP they shouldn't be deprived of the same rewards PVP players get (and they still get more).

Some us hate PVP because it gets repetitive. Alliance battles? Maybe it's just me but whenever I do that the other team always wins no matter what side I'm on. RA? That's a major pain, and every single time I get a noob team that doesn't understand the concept of getting the monk first. Same with TA no matter what builds are used, and I haven't even unlocked HA. So yeah, don't make people PVP if they don't want to; PVErs deserve the same rewards as PVP players do. If Guild Wars wanted to be focused only on PVP they wouldn't have bothered adding in all the storylines and quests and put so much thought into PVE.

/not signed. The XTH gives PvE players a reason to take an interest in the PvP side of things.

Anything that helps mend the fractured GW community - Z-quests, Nicholas, XTH, etc., is fine by me.

P.S. - I don't sell my keys, I use 'em. Must have Creme Brule's! SUGAR! MORE SUGAR!!! NOW, NOW, NOW!!!!

XTH Rewards is a Reward for All Players who take the trouble to visits GW webpage to make the prediction, a reward for All Players who bother to log into the game every month to redeem their points.

It has nothing to do with how good a player is in PvE or PvP, its a Reward for every player who has the game, knows how to log in to the webpage to make prediction and redeem the points at the end of the tournament cycle. If you don't like the XTH, rally all the GvG players and stop playing. Then there will be no prediction to make.

As for getting rid of XTH, nah. Its a very good idea to keep players coming back month after month after month after month, it is also part of why Arena Net's PvP is the best e-sport, in fact, the only e-sport that involves a mmorpg/corpg game.

Sorry, cannot support your wish. /NOT SIGNED

But, with that said, they do need to spend some time fixing it. The thing seems like it is broken for people half the time, and I'm getting the vibe that Anet is a bit incompetent with this thing. See http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10383122 if you don't know what I'm talking about.

If they don't (or can't) fix it, then it ends up frustrating people just as often as it does adding to the game, and probably should be closed. And though I know it is free, it still shouldn't be broken. I mean, if I gave someone a free cookie, then I gave the next guy a free cookie with shards of glass sticking out of it, should that guy really be happy because it was free?

I love observing, making notes, and voting. I would have never done this, had it not been for the XTH to get me involved.
I've never been a fan of PvP, but since I started voting in the XTH and discovering PvP, I've been playing HA and other PvP stuff that I would not have even glanced at.

I use my zkeys, at least until I get r3. After that I will sell them. It is so very nice to be able to make a little money without having to grind my butt off in any PvE area. I would like to work on my HoM, and without money, it's very tough if not impossible. I'm not about to grind for months on end just to be able to buy an elite armor (like my vabbian... OMG that cost me a LOT of money and time, and I wasn't doing XTH or SCs or anything like that at the time).

XTH generates $$$ for ANET by selling accounts, they would never get rid of it.

I'm sure A-net is raking in the dough with the spare accounts. I know people with 10+ accounts now. Some months, these people make a killing. I enjoy my free points and I hope they don't get rid of it (Although I don't see why they would).

It doesn't hurt anyone. It lags a bit, sure, nobody "earned" the points. But I'm sure people enjoy guessing at placements and I'm sure the guilds enjoy hearing about where they were placed by other people.

The XTH just gives them out for mostly people that just random guess who's gonna win the GvG/HB tourney. If they're going to give out points for that, they might as well give players that don't PvP free gold every once in a while. I think that would balance it out.
If they do this then there is no way to get PvP items. Though if the system was coded properly in the first place we woudl be able to unlock PvP stuff like everything else. Though I do agree, TRP being earned by guessing I don't like. And why should you have to guess for different PvP skins?

Zkeys I couldn't care less about. Who needs more gold anyways? I also dislike farming the title... they should make traded Zkeys not count towards it.

What free gold? I treat it as a game in a game. I like betting and it is fun to see if your "betting system" was correct. It would be less fun if there would be no rewards for placing correct bets. Then there is another lottery: I take my winnings change them into zkeys and I have another fun checking what goes out from the chest. This really nice part of this game atm and I do not want to have it remove it. I do not mind if someone makes z-keys untradable but leave XTH alone or you will have this game more empty than it is now.

So what you're saying is that PvE players who don't want to/are bad at PvP deserve to get the same rewards as PvP players? I'm sorry, but that's just stupid. If someone doesn't want to PvP for PvP rewards, they don't deserve them. You're pretty much saying that PvE players should be able to get Balthazar faction from PvE (please, please, don't reply and say they should).

Because I like it and removing it would only hurt the game. You can't introduce something neat like that and then remove it. Especially when it doesn't break the game. I look forward to getting some free keys whenever I can make my predictions and all that. Never done it, looking forward to it.

Plus its nice making money off OTHER peoples work. lol. So thanks for the free loot!
